This latest Software Update showed itself today, 9/5/12 and is named as noted above. I have a hard time knowing what this Software Update is and if I install it what should I do after I restart the MPB? I think one of the last Software Updates sent out for my MBP dealt with this but it was Update 9. I actually did install that update and was told to in Safari 5.1.7 go to Preferences-Security-and uncheck 'Enable Java.' This 'expert' also told me to leave 'Enable JavaScript' checked. After I install this most recent update, what do I need to do to Safari or anything else with the MPB? Thanks for your help.

Some Clarification before I Install the latest Java Update 10 - When you are saying 'make sure it is still disabled' you mean in Safari-Preferences-Security-leave 'Enable Java' unchecked, right? Sorry this kind of stuff I have a way a messing things up so I just want to clarify a few things. In Utilities, under the first tab named General, there are only 2 Java Preferences, both are Java SE6, one is 64 bit and the other is 32-bit. But I have NOT installed the latest Software Update yet. I wanted to make sure it was Ok to install the Update 10 and you clarified that. I did notice that in Utilities under the Network tab 'Set the amount of disk space for storing.'
Is set to the highest setting which is 1000MB. Is this the right setting? It seems like allowing temporary files to have the full allowance is not the right setting but I thought I better check. WZZZ- I searched for the latest software Java Update 10 but I did not find it.
Is it one that is already in Java Pref.app? I did install it but know it is connected to an earlier Update Apple sent out about 6 months r so ago.
I was looking for 3 boxes down below, but I see how you get 3 now. I take this seriously because it is hard for me to usually understand what the heck is gong on. When it comes to Security too I want to do the right thing.
Did you see the screen shot I posted with a question? Do you know if this setting in Java Pref.
Under Network Tab should be all the way to the right allowing temp files the full amount of disk space. Is it better to empty these temp files every once in awhile? I am not sure where exactly they are besides Cache, website data, history. Any areas I should be emptying on a regular basis? I am not a fan of losing my passwords but anything else you would recommend that might help this old machine run better?
