The screens I'm sharing look distorted or choppy to the other person — Check to see if the person you are sharing your screen with is using an older version of Skype for Business than you are. Recommend that they get latest version of Skype for Business.
Collaboration As a Mac user, you can show your entire desktop to everyone in a Skype for Business meeting using the Skype for Business desktop client. Remember that a Skype for Business meeting can be an impromptu conversation with one or more Skype for Business users, or a scheduled meeting with Skype for Business and non-Skype for Business users.
To share your screen, you need to be a presenter. If the sharing option is grayed out, ask one of the presenters to give you presenter access. Share your desktop. At the top of the meeting window, click on the Monitor icon. From the drop-down menu, select a monitor then, select Share Screen. IMPORTANT: When you share your desktop, everyone in the meeting can see your programs, documents, and notifications.
Close confidential information or documents that you don’t want people to see. When you begin sharing, you will notice a yellow border around your monitor. In addition, you will see a sharing task bar at top center of your screen. To hide the task bar and share more of your screen, select the pushpin icon. If you want a meeting attendee to share their screen, give them presenter access, so they can use the controls. If they don’t use Skype for Business, they can still use Meetings App to present. Stop sharing your desktop.
To stop sharing your desktop, hover your mouse in the top center of your screen to display the sharing task bar. Select Stop Sharing. The yellow border around your screen will disappear. Share a PowerPoint Using Skype for Business for Mac, you can share a PowerPoint presentation by sharing your screen, or presenting the PowerPoint slides in the meeting space.
Sharing a PowerPoint presentation in the meeting space is only available when you are attending a scheduled Skype for Business meeting. Select the three ellipses ( ).
Select Share PowerPoint File. Select and open a presentation.
Use the left and right arrows to move through the presentation.
